WISCONSINITES AGREE: PASS ROBUST STATE AND LOCAL IN COVID PACKAGE
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, President Joe Biden will travel to Wisconsin to make the case for the American Rescue Plan to Wisconsinites, 60% of whom support going big on Covid relief, including aid for state and local governments.
“Wisconsin’s communities need our help to recover from the Covid pandemic,” said Zac Petkanas, senior advisor to Invest in America Action. “Investing in aid for state and local governments means help for reopening schools, keeping essential workers and first responders on the job, and ensuring a robust vaccine distribution system that gets shots in the arm. Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers has also argued that federal aid is crucial to avoiding “very, very, very difficult decisions in our next budget.”
